COVID-19 Updates at Intrinsic Health Source
My clients' health and safety is my top priority. As a massage therapist and esthetician, I have always been vigilant about the health and safety of my clients. But as a nurse with a public health background, my knowledge and training has always guided me to maintain strict CDC infectious control standards for cleaning and disinfecting.
I understand the concerns about the coronavirus and support calls for social distancing. But I'm here to assure you that because I run a small private practice, you don't have to worry about sitting in a crowded waiting room or being in a place that sees a high volume of office traffic.
When I am authorized to reopen my practice, I ensure you that I will continue to operate in manners that guard against the spread of the virus (any all other infectious diseases). Here are my ongoing efforts to guarantee a safe and clean environment for you:
- After each session, I remove and replace all linens from the massage table and headrest. These linens are cleaned with a hospital-grade disinfectant and all surfaces are disinfected with a sanitizing disposable cloth. I store my clean linens in closed cabinetry separate from linens to be cleaned.
- Before handling clean linens, I thoroughly wash my hands with soap and water (for at least 20 seconds).
- I clean objects that are frequently handled (lotions bottles, facial products, equipment, door handles, counter tops, and cabinets with a disposable, hospital-grade disinfectant and sanitizing cloth.
-I've created an appointment schedule that minimizes or bypasses your time in the waiting room. It is my goal to usher clients directly into the treatment room upon arrival.
-I kindly ask clients who have recently traveled abroad, or have been in contact with someone who has traveled within two weeks, to postpone scheduling an appointment. I ask clients who exhibit any cold or flu symptoms to reschedule their existing appointment.
-Likewise, if I present with any signs or symptoms of illness I would never compromise the health and safety of my clients and would immediately cancel all appointments and close the practice.
As the coronovirus pandemic continues to develop, I will communicate with you about resuming services and how I will continue to operate safely to meet your needs and in your best interest. I will return to business as soon as the COVID-19 situation clears up.
